Nov 17th, 2018Last red wine at Table #4 at Oakton Wine Shops Bucket List Tasting.
Deep mix of ruby and garnet red. Stinky attack on the nose with a touch of greenery and spices. Very well rounded and integrated with heavy tannins (7.5/10). Full bodied with sweet spices, touch floral and dark berries. Very dry and long finish. Drink till 2030.

Tasted this new wine with Chris Carpenter who makes "Lokoya" in Napa Valley. Chris is making this wine at Yangarra. The nose is sweet perfumed blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, tarry notes, licorice & dried red florals. The wine on the palate is pretty, soft and elegant dark florals, plum, dark cherries, blackberries, soft wood use, soft leather, soft darker minerals, crushed dry rocks, violets, anise, mocha powder and a lean ripe finish that deepens on the long beautiful finish.

Apr 7th, 2017Hello green pepper! Not too overbearing though. Could definitely use a solid few more years away, but this one was intriguing to taste. Thought CabFranc was a shoe in, but didn't expect a CabSav/Shiraz blend.
