Wow. Amazing. Focused, concentrated, flawless. Seamless layers of fresh dark red fruit infused with subtle spice and carried by fully integrated fine, smooth tannins. All in complete harmony. Made from small berries grown by 150 year old vines planted by the first settlers from Prussia, Central Europe. Is this the oldest Mourvèdre vineyard in the world? Powerful wine that went well with my Georgian lamb. Too strong to drink alone. But perfect with steak or lamb. Powerful nose with strong brooding flavors.

Last night’s drop. Wonderfully fragrant and perfumed, with florals amongst red fruit and some baking spice, with insistent but fine tannins to finish. Young, for sure, but already drinking well. Ridiculously overweight bottle, almost comically so.
