I keep trying mourvedre from places other than California and keep getting let down. Perhaps my expectations are set too high. This has a funky, tart nose to it with some super savory herbs on it. The palate is juicy and has some good body, but the finish is lacking and over too quick. It also finishes hot. Que sera...

Dried herbs and black pepper on the nose. Rosemary and thyme. Smells like a really delicious grilled steak. Spicy and nice.

Have had the Old Garden but not the Baby Bush. This was a most enjoyable wine having peppery notes and some gaminess giving the whole package a nice savouriness. Great with pork chops. 17.5+
