Polished, shiny, and restrained Mourvèdre. Pure fruit and minimal tannin with clean acidity and chuggable red fruit.

I keep trying mourvedre from places other than California and keep getting let down. Perhaps my expectations are set too high. This has a funky, tart nose to it with some super savory herbs on it. Dried herbs and black pepper on the nose. Rosemary and thyme. Smells like a really delicious grilled steak. Spicy and nice.

Have had the Old Garden but not the Baby Bush. This was a most enjoyable wine having peppery notes and some gaminess giving the whole package a nice savouriness. Great with pork chops. 17.5+
