Henri de Villamont
Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir
Big cola and dried strawberry on the nose. Less complexity than some. On the fruit forward side for village level burgundy. Sure to be a tasty crowd pleaser.

Jun 30th, 2024Bottle 5 of the box. Been a few years since the previous one. Past it’s prime or between phases? Most of the fruit is gone. Acidity still, with mellow tannins but nothing so interesting otherwise. Not getting much tertiary. Not actually bad, but just kinda bland-ish and ordinary. Will have to wait and see what the next one is like in another year or two.

Apr 9th, 2020Another year on. Got a bit overpowered by the food but a nice balance of rich earth and bright Pinot noir fruit.

Apr 30th, 2016Nobody gets an A but his wine is a strong B. Lite bodied but full & lush. Goes fantastically with buckwheat crepes with Comte, ham, spinach, button shrooms, & asparagus at the Finseths. Yum!
