Henri Bonneau
Les Rouliers Vin de Table du Vaucluse Red Rhone Blend
Vaucluse, Rhône, France

Jammy black cherries and blackberries, animal on the nose. Candied black fruits, tobacco, tannins, spices all mixed up in this on the palate with a long finish.

Wow. Fragrant out of the box, and keeps changing like a kaleidoscope. After a couple of hours, spice, pine resin, potter's clay, cranberry and ripe raspberry ooze, campfire ashes. Mouthfilling, earthy, sensual, good acids. If this is his entry level, I'm not sure I can handle the CDPs. Almost sensory overload.

What a beauty this is! Profound wine, à la Bonneau. Quite ripe dark fruits (that’s the vintage showing) but the structure is solid.

The first Chateauneuf I truly love. Earthy, mushroomy. You eat this wine but is not flabby or jammy. So much character and vibe! Vin de tableau!
