Burgenland Zweigelt

Smooth, silky but an overly herbal and short finish. The hint of bitterness was due to its being too young.

Вишня с черенками и косточками, клюква, яблочные семечки, молотый перец. Просто, чисто, непритязательно. Высокая, чуть агрессивная кислотность. Нормально.

Very nice ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Unique nose of blueberries, plums, cherries, earth, red candy, watermelon(?), leather, tar and black pepper.

Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, plums, earth, licorice, graphite, dirt, citrus and black pepper.

Medium finish with soft tannins and raspberries.

A nice red wine. Interesting and soft, with some complexity. Reminds me of a Pinot Noir from a mix of old and new worlds.

This is my first Zweigelt varietal. Interesting and good by itself or with food. Earthy and easy drinking with a soft mouthfeel.

Grapes are manually harvested, and fermented in oak barrels, with 2 weeks on the skins. Aged for 12 months in large Austrian and French Oak barrels.

12.5% alcohol by volume.

Good acidity but the fruit is mostly in hiding. Interesting funky nose.

Klar dyp rød, mild og fruktig, duft av tørket drue skall, lang sluttnote.

Wine from one of my favorite places to spend time. A glass is a good substitute for being able to actually visit Burgenland. Better slightly chilled.

I enjoyed it and would drink again! Not one of my favorites though
