Strong medicinal character. Oddly enough not in a bad way. It’ll do.

Dark purple thick wine; nose is excellent with deep vibrant black berries, soft sweet pepper, cocoa, baking spices and vanilla from French and American oak, and some raw meat, mineral, and cocoa notes; taste sensation starts with soft tannins, high alcohol and acids, and continues with black plum juice, and it ends long ang strong. Old vines, only new oak, 14.8% alc.

Blueberry compote, eucalyptus, currant, and orange peel aromas. Blue and black fruits mingle with an earthy mineral note, cedar, and an easy acidity. This is not a huge Aussie fruit bomb. This is a well balanced wine that hits well above its price point. I expect this will easily cellar another 3-5 years.

Started out like it was going somewhere, and it did... not in my glass.

Delightfully calming aroma with extremely smooth finish. Very few tannins. An all evening drink.

Had great hopes for this. Always enjoyed the Stickleback. However, despite the full fruit opening, the finish left a negative earthy, taste that was quite disagreeable. 2nd, better, but still too "dirt-like". Costco. $25.99
