Nov 15th, 2018Beautiful balanced expression of a tiny “backyard vineyard” in Napa, with super pure red and black fruit character highlighted by a touch of pyrazine and great acidity. Picked early to keep it fresh and fully destemmed, approx 30% new oak adds just the right amount of amplification and integration.

Beautiful Napa Cab with notes of ripe black plum, baking spice, chocolate, minerality. Medium tannins and acidity.
Lighter and more fresh than other Cabs that tend to be stronger and more jammy.

Young. I’ve said it many times; Hatton Daniels wines are made to age and this Cabernet is at the far end of the hold spectrum. While I loved drinking this there is so much potential that is overtaken by the density and freshness packed into this. 20-30-40 years just forget about this bottle. While it is great and definitely not hard by any means this will only become glorious over time.

Jun 17th, 2020This cab sauv is an immortal being in its own time. Totally pure no manipulation and as Napa as it gets deep inside ultimate freshness and drinkability. Weightless, energetic. Just wow! No Napa cab really like this that I know of
