Young. I’ve said it many times; Hatton Daniels wines are made to age and this Cabernet is at the far end of the hold spectrum. While I loved drinking this there is so much potential that is overtaken by the density and freshness packed into this. 20-30-40 years just forget about this bottle. While it is great and definitely not hard by any means this will only become glorious over time. — 4 years ago
By far my favorite HD bottle to date!! — 7 years ago
Third bottle! Still surprising and good. Quite good but not overwhelmingly so for Mabel’s Hainan chicken with flavored rice. — 2 years ago
Krug is always most welcome, and Valentine’s Day is no exception. This is edition 169. A bit more yeasty and slightly less acidic than previous versions, to my taste. But if you like the Krug style - which we do very much - it hits the spot per usual.
My wife used to work with Fritz Hatton, proprietor of Arietta wines and auctioneer for Zachys. Fritz always says to have a half bottle of champagne waiting in the fridge in case you need a “midnight snack”, and I have to agree with him! — 4 years ago

Enjoying this Merlot 2010 vintage on 1/31/22. Deep color, very smooth fruit forward. — 3 years ago
Who knew? A fantastic blend with notes of blackberries, cocoa and heavy baking spices. The flavors are highlighted by the Smokey whiskey flavors from 18 months in the barrel with the last 6 in a jack Daniels Tennessee sour mash barrel. Totally unique and surprisingly splendid. — 7 years ago

Another great wine with age in the pocket. Glad we caught it there. Lacked a lil of the magic you are looking for in red burg. But would def drink again. Thx Eothen — 2 years ago
