With the warmer weather in Perth over the last week I've been craving dry Rieslings. There is the misconception that all Rieslings are sweet - don't be fooled! Riesling can come in a variety of sweetness levels as well as bone dry. And the best bit is most bottles of Riesling will tell you where they sit on the sweet-dry scale on the back of the bottle.
I picked up this 2014 Riesling from Harewood Estate in the Great Southern for $20 from Cellarbrations. It's a light baby-yellow colour on the eye with notes of hay, flowers and spicy citrus on the nose. The palate is super dry (😜), fresh and refreshing. Flavours of apples, lemons and limes make this the perfect 30+ degree day wine!

Dry, refreshing and very mineral with a nice light citrus finish. Little bit of petrol at the end as well.
