Want to like this more, it's just missing a little something. Still showing bright fruits, more than I expected. Vintage blend breakdown: Cab 39, C. Franc 29, Merlot 27, Malbec 4, Petit Verdot 1

A Bordeaux style blend from Happy Canyon/Santa Barbara that is truly delicious. Very drinkable right after opening, beautiful layers of fruit. Outstanding value too. 33% Merlot, 28% Cab, 25% Cabernet Franc.

Aromas of black raspberries and cherries along with cedar, wet soil and dried herbs. Flavors of red fruits, black olives and black tea. Hint of smoke on the finish. A tad on the sharp side.

Probably the best Bordeaux-style wine I’ve had from Santa Barbara and at $25, a total steal. Juicy plum on the tongue, gravel in the mouth, Kalamata olives up the nose... these disparate elements add up to some complexity and the tannins are just beginning to hit their stride.

Yum. Balanced. Raspberry jam with some acidity and light tannins. Very interesting and would definitely drink again.
