Nose is a bit quiet. Rock dust. Wood shavings. Barely yellow fruits. Closed. Holy shit the palate is awake. Crazy acids. Crazy density. Superbly mineral. What a combo of elegance and power. This wine is so rich and so sappy. And a stunning texture and density. Powerful, complex and elegant. Genius.

So much intensity and complexity on the nose and the palate. Just detonates on the palate with an assortment of Riesling flavors - nectarine, mango, grilled pineapple, mycelial tones, honey, salt, slate, mint, wildflowers - and it just kept changing over the four hours I spent with it. The mid-palate was beautifully lush and silky, but the opulence was ephemeral as the current of electricity running through it asserted itself. The finish is particularly impressive; complex and seemingly eternal. I wish I had bought more than a single case. Hoping my ‘16 Paulinshofberg is as magical.

Nose: Classic mosel. Yellow flowers. Mineral. Gorgeous. Lemon flower.
Palate: linear silky minerals. So bright. Perfect lemon. Sweet lemon. Amazing. More richness as it opens.
