I have a hard time getting beyond the highly sulfurous reduced nose on this wine. The reek lingers even after extreme aeration. On the palate it offers broad plum notes with raspberry highlights. Mouthwatering acid but not a lot of grip. Decent enough for the price but downgraded on aromatics.

Raspberry, light plum, hint of mild spice. Very good pairing with Elissa’s prosciutto, Brie, and fig paninis. The bright fruit worked well with the fig sauce. Best with food.

Really cool smells with this one; blackberries and a funky garage odor. The taste is classic Barbera - very sour cherries, plums, hardly any tannins, smooth finish. A terrific match for marinara sauce.

2014 Vintage. Have to try it again, it wasn't corked but just some harsh conflicting tastes.
