Guenoc
Victorian Claret North Coast Red Blend
Dark ruby in color with a wide purplish rim.
Nice nose of black currants, blackberries, cherries, vanilla, wood, spices, peppercorn, green herbs, light vegetables and spices.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with cherries, strawberries, red currants, oak, smoke, spices, coffee and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with nice rounded tannins and black pepper.
This is a nice, entertaining red blend from California. A good everyday sipper and a good food wine too. Showing mild complexity, but not fully balanced.
I paired it with a cheese flatbread.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
$13.

Year after year, this inexpensive Bordeaux style blend never fails to disappoint. It has nice cherry and coffee flavors and a medium body.

Jun 10th, 2017For the price, it's a good value not too bad but nothing special.

May 25th, 2017A great value in a red blend. The label says Cherry and raspberry and you can taste it in the front. Other reviewers note the lighter tannins, which I would agree with.

Mar 20th, 2017A general casual wine that is limited on mouth feel and typical wine flavors but is acceptable. Nothing fancy but a workhorse of a bottle. Good for the price.
