Wow, this one is a winner! Plum and licorice greet the nose and a full bodied mouth feel takes over with a lingering finish that reflects a wine at a much higher price point. This is one to hold onto for special occasions. I recommend! — 3 years ago

Wow! This is a gem of a Sirah! Black cherry and currant greet the nose and the legs are long and lovely. It presents younger than I like so I plan on cellaring the other bottles to revisit in a year or so but for now I’m going to enjoy a bold wine the likes of which I haven’t had in a while. The finish is mild and a lingering aftertaste slowly fades into the next sip. This is a good one and under $30. — 4 years ago

A surprisingly well rounded Pinot Noir. Perhaps that’s because I had low expectations but it produces a complex blend of flavors for the price point. I’m detecting tobacco and plum mostly with very minimal acidic compounds noted. Drinks with a low alcohol content and that’s confirmed by the label at 13.9% abv. Not a bottle to recommend but as long as you give it time to open up in the glass you won’t be disappointed. — 5 years ago

A jammy plum greets the nose with a touch of licorice as a supplement. The taste is muted at first and then the flavors come on in waves. The finish is a bit harsh and in a few years this will be even better. You feel the alcohol but it isn’t overpowering. This is one of the best wines I’ve consumed in 2021. A must buy! — 4 years ago

A fresh summertime Sauvignon Blanc that delivers a lemongrass and apricot combination to the nose and a slightly overpowering amount of acidity. That lessens upon standing so I recommend factoring this into your enjoyment. An aged cheddar pairs nicely as does a lighter lunch. I enjoyed this on a hot day and I found it very refreshing. I think you’ll find it rewarding. — 5 years ago

This gem from the Rioja region is a treat. It presents with black cherry after decanting and has an earthy mouth feel. This is quite enjoyable and stands well on its own or with a nice stew. I highly recommend if you can find it. — 4 years ago

Pleasant on the nose and has good legs. The initial taste is a bit of a let down but after breathing for 20 minutes it begins to open up and become less shy. It will not win awards but it’ll do <Shrek reference intended>. — 4 years ago

Apple and honeysuckle greet the palate with a tartness than initially presents green apple but swiftly transitions to a lemony finish. This is a great pairing with fried fish or a vinegar-based salad dressing. — 5 years ago

As a person who doesn’t really like a Chardonnay, this bottle has a surprising fruit presence. Apricot and green apple greet the tongue and the nose picks up the same with floral aromas to round out the glass. It will never be a top wine in my book but I’m pleased with it just the same. — 5 years ago
