Hillview Vineyard Chardonnay

Apricots, green pears and mandarins. Very expressive wine, both ripe and tart fruit flavors, backed by big acidity that doesn't overwhelm the body. Great deal on a Napa Chard, one that isn't dominated by toasted oak and vanilla flavors (in fact almost lacking altogether).

Great discovery. Intense minerality, non-ML Chard. Precise, little oak influence, precise. Will make you rethink Groth Chard.

This is a vineyard designate and the first year that they put the name on the label

Restrained oak allows the fruit to shine. Great balance and length. Moderately complex. Great Napa chardy.

Clean and slightly citrus, blended with a hint of stone fruit. Lacks the round creaminess I like and look for.

Yikes, hint of decayed apple. Somewhat bland and flat. $20 C
