Greenock Creek
Cornerstone Grenache
At 18.5% Alc , this is the highest alcohol Dry Red I have ever had. Nose of ripe prunes and blackberry jam. Palate showing masses of black fruits. Not as hot and alcoholic as I was expecting on nose or palate. An anachronism!

Nov 20th, 2016Surprised by this, tasted blind. Hyper-ripe, and a bit pruney, but still full of the freshness of youth on the palate and surprisingly well balanced.

Nov 29th, 2015Whoa...how'd they do that? Stupid high alcohol (18.5%?!!!) and though somewhat Port-like, this is not hot, nor is it cloying. In fact, there's this incredible acidic zip on the finish that so surprises. Fascinating.

Sep 29th, 2015Lovely mature Grenache. Very tawny around the edge but holding its age of 17. Soft raspberry flavours. Could not tell this had a 16.1% alcohol level. Approaching the level of a top flight CDP. Excellent. 18.

Jan 31st, 2015OK but not the complexity and depth that you would expect from this wine. It tasted like a standard dry red. Maybe more age would help.
