The Game Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep Ruby with aromas of red and black fruits, herbs and spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with leafy tobacco, oak and black pepper. Fine fresh tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak and herb spice.

Their Pinotauge rocks... This left me uninspired... OK for an everyday glass, but I don't think you would go out of your way to buy it again...

Decent wine but almost tasted sour? Like the winery but maybe wouldn't get this again.

Western Cape WO

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Earthy nose of blueberries, cherries, chocolates, smoke, licorice, oak, vanilla, cherries, raspberries, earth, forest floor, smoke, green pepper and peppercorn.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Bone dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, forest floor, chocolates, tobacco, bell pepper and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with firm tannins and black pepper.

A Nice Cabernet from South Africa. Earthy, and needs food to accompany it. Still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature, but already enjoyable. I had this vintage a year ago and still no change. I'll try again in a year...

14% alcohol by volume.

Well made could complete with a Napa cab at twice the price.

I'm a little surprised by this wine. Hopping it's not that my palate was shot.

Dry on the palate with cherries, tobacco, strawberries, red currants, Wood, vanilla, cloves and peppercorn.

Medium bodied.

Medium finish with green tannins.

This Cabernet from South Africa is still young, but already featuring nice qualities. Enjoy it now or in 3 to 6 years.

14% alcohol by volume.

Lots of tannins in this wine. Tastes of cherries and nutmeg. Very smokey and oak notes. Needs time to breathe to open the flavours.
