I always pair Matjes herring or any pickled version with Riesling. Classic Kabinett, mandarine, faint diesel really just a touch, surprisingly some tannins - smidgen tart. Lemon 🍋.

May 14th, 2024Relativ simple Kabinett. Sipping this at the Alte Wache in Freiburg. Nice everyday Riesling. Tart, not to acidic apple 🍎 more red than green. Meyer 🍋. Aromatic, dry yet quite fruit driven. Obviously bigger than Mosel Rieslings this is after all BADEN. Not a must have.
