Really dug this like a cab franc from Loire, unoaked Rioja, under 13$

There's an undue sympathy for wines such as this; people seem to believe that because they're 'eco' in whatever sense of the word, quality comes second. Well, sorry but this is wine. And the Gran Cerdo (Spain, NV) is so pitifully acidic and dark-fruited you'd be better off buying a Co-Op fairtrade cab sauv or something. Disappointing.
