Fruitier than I expected with aromas and flavors of fresh black currents, plums, and blackberries. Vanilla, smoke and clay pot round out the notes. Tannins are nicely adhesive and the acidity is med plus. Decently long dark chocolate finish. Maybe a bit of residual sugar here but it could be the 14.5% alcohol. Nice, not amazing, but definitely a good drinker.
