These always show great aging potential. This vintage is in the early drinking window and really benefits from a couple hours air. Classic Anderson Valley profile. Dark fruit with spice and a little garrigue.

Jun 17th, 2018Sourced from this great Anderson Valley vineyard, this shows lovely damp soil with huckleberry compote and shades of cinnamon infused red cherry aromatics that take shape in the glass. The balance of the wine is really good as medium to full-bodied red and dark fruit flavors provide a lasting effect. While slightly less complex than the 2017 ‘Confluence Vineyard’ bottling, it is downright delicious to savor in its youth. Drink 2020-2030- 92

1 person found it helpfulSep 3rd, 2015Crimson color. Nice legs in the glass. Dried cherry, sage on the nose with a smidge of tobacco and white pepper. Nice medium to long finish with dark cherry and classic anderson valley fruit with a bit of red currant and dare I say a morsel of cranberry on the finish! Lovely with turkey this Thanksgiving afternoon. Time to drink this gem.

Nov 26th, 2015Pomegranate silk and soy-bergamot sexpot. Rose petal, cinnamon swizzle stick and cola hard candy. Toasty graham cracker cocoa nib nuzzle, med length and acid that's been a bit muzzled but peeping through. Straw-rhubarb heartthrob, thanks. Love the complexity and length and soy-tea development of this wine. The narrows and all that - 2007 - what more could a girl want??? 💎💎💎

Nov 29th, 2021Beautiful. Maybe should’ve aged more? Let it breathe a couple hours. Great with duck for thanksgiving meal.

Nov 28th, 2019Lived next to this vineyard for two months. This wine captures a lot of the wildness and magic of the place. Aromas of “Anderson Valley garrigue” (pennyroyal, redwood and spruce, artisanal marijuana), fresh foraged berries, black cherry and exotic spices. I expect it’ll be even better with time.
