Goldeneye (Duckhorn Vineyards)
Estate Grown Gowan Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir

Showing well at the moment but would benefit from a little rest in the cellar...if you can resist the temptation to open!

Velvety with hardly any acid, and nice fruit without verging on jammy. Nicely balanced, and nicely paired with grilled trout.

Mar 18th, 2017Duckhorn's pinot so I wasn't suprised by the style. Pretty fruit forward, with some baking spice as well. Not what I would usually order for a pinot, but it was very nice and definitely able to go with a NY strip

True expression of Anderson Valley! Ripe berry and black cherry with layers of licorice, tobacco and spice. Well Balanced oak leading to a lingering velvety finish.
