12 Year Old Nectar D'Òr Sauternes Casks Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Floral and fruity with stone fruit and a slightly glycernal finish. Honeydew.

So distinctively different. Definitely feeling the influence of the Sauternes casks. I get cotton candy and candy apple. Like a carnival of flavour along the honey brittle side of the palate.

Honey start, light wood, delicious

Nose of fermented grains, mint, spicy alcohol burn, slight touch of apple, and concentrated aldehyde. Taste is smooth, sweet, and spicy, with beautiful dried fruits, like dried figs, minty, subtle wood flavors, flowering notes, and citrus peel touch. Long finish with nice structure and flavors. Mellow and round, she easily gives you the impression of more than 12 years.

Quite smooth and rounded. The 12 year sleep in Sauternes cask paid off.

Bon Anniversaire. Honey and lemon. This Scotch has so much character. Unreal. Nectar D'or huh? Gold.

Had a glenmorangie tasting and study session. Love this scotch whisky, aged for 10years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels then transferred in hand selected ex wines barriques from Sauternes; the most famous and ancient sweet wine ground region of France. 46% ABV Color: Honey Gold,
Aroma: Lime and Orange rind, spices of coconut and nutmeg.
Taste: Ginger, nutmeg and toasted almonds. With a syrupy lemon meringue and honey comb middle. Long finish with white chocolate vanilla.

Smooth, sweet, terrific value for a table scotch.
