Not the typical dolcetto. Definitely has a savory, earthy funk which I didn’t expect. Not terrible or bad in any way. Maybe a little too aged for docletto. I’m searching. LOL

Attempt number 2. First was corked. Simple wine from not so simple producer. Stunning level of sulfur and co2 yet still funky. Plums, tarragon, pepper.

Black cherry pits, black raspberries, vanilla frosting, hint of mint. Excellent acidity offset by velvet tannins. Pleasant bitter finish. Good on its own, outstanding with tomato basil red sauce.

Ripe tart cherries and violets. Medium-light body. Spicy-sweet, slightly medicinal finish. A bit monotone, perhaps might improve with a couple years aging to settle the ebullient fruit.
