Big, robust palate and hot. Too hot for me and not as balanced as his Barolos. Some dark cherry, licorice and smoke. Not bad but lack of balance was unenjoyable.

2023 fall. While not as deep as the Paiagallo, this is fresher and less volatile, and still plenty powerful

I just loved this. Vibrant and alive on the tongue, but dark, earthy, savory layers of Nebbiolo fruit. What a stellar wine, especially for one so young. Wish I had more to put away.

Beautiful deep transparent mid red. Fairly high pitches acidity, redcurrant and rosehip mixed with some darker fruit like blackcurrant. Not too crazy or untamed. Nice to try one of Canonica’s wines and would be keen to follow with a barolo.

Juicy, chewy goodness. Broke a bottle of Grinzane, so this sure did well as a remedy of sorts.

I seem to remember almost liking this more than the 2014 Paiagallo, but that may have been relative to expectations and previous wonderful Paiagallos
