Gigondas La Cave
Signature Gigondas Grenache Blend
Incredibly youthful and full bodied, this is a dark, rich and sexy Gigondas that’s furious at being opened so soon.
Featuring a well of steeped plum, cassis, blueberry and chocolate with a distinct graphite edge, the wine positively bursts on the palate with intense generosity and a grippy finish. Slightly hot (14.5%, not unusual), but everything is kept in check by fresh acidity and supple tannins. Impressive, should age well.

Dark & surprisingly youthful
Creamy, ripe black fruit with a fresh herby bite - garrigue, mint - and a creamy backdrop. Fresh & enticing.
Nicely balanced on the palate with juicy fruit, a savoury tannic edge, fresh acidity. Plus a fresh, uplifting herby finish.
So nice with venison stew!

Deep, rich and balanced effort. Mocha, espresso, plum, dark chocolate, and tobacco. Dark cocoa, spice box, blackberry preserves, and plum carry through on the palate. Persistent, and remarkable length. Limestone, chalky tannins deliver the finish. 15% ABV is held in check. The amount of dark fruit and chocolate character is enjoyable, yet surprising based on the blend: 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre.
