Had it Xmas 2010. Shiny garnet. Cherry, minerally, mushroom, balsamic, earthy, irony. Mouth: tannin and acidity still evident. Traditionalist, looking for the balance, but very lean and enjoyable now too.

Beautiful orange rim variation. A bit of mint on the nose. Fruits are slightest muted. Tannins are surprisingly strong for a 12 year Barolo. To be honest, these notes are within 30 minutes of slow decanting.

Ahhh, Barolo. Drinking beautifully now with the fruit playing background to the savory tones of mint and tar with fig and sage as well. Aromatics are amazing and jump out of the glass while the palate has some tannic bite still but just beautifully complete from front to rear. This has life left but drinking so well now I can't see a reason to wait. 2003
