Couldn't resist opening after a decade of slumber.

Well worth the wait.

Pnp. Wonderful rose petal aromas. Cherry along with more rose petals and tar on the palate. Tannins are softening nicely and this wine still has many more years to go.

Gets a lot better if it sits or is decanted

Might benefit from decanting - red and black fruit and licorice.

Smells like candy and spring flowers...tastes slightly of anise and ends dry and nice

Balanced and restrained with an underlying warmth and elegance.

Fantastic wine when paired with a marinara sauce. My rating is based on consuming with a hearty tomato based sauce and pasta.

Young, large format Barolo. Needed three hours. Tasted great. Could have unfolded until the next day.
