lovely barbaresco in a barolo disguise.

100% nebbiolo, a blend of different vineyards.

2 years in big barrels & one year in the bottle before release.

14.5% abv.

lovely ๐Ÿ‘ƒof flowers, earth, and ๐Ÿ’ jam with clove.

medium body.
medium nicely integrated tannins.
high acidity.

ripe ๐Ÿ’ swimming in jam, raspberry, earth, tar, roses, tobacco and coffee.

long ๐ŸŽฏ with a pleasant alcohol burn.

while my hair (or what's left of it) was cut i texted my wife suggesting she'd open a bottle to have with dinner.

came back to a great dairy only lasagna and this wine poured with the bottle covered with blind tasting sleeve.
the pale color left no doubt that she chose the barolo from the fridge.

took about 2 hours to fully open up but was great all along especially with the high acidity of the tomato sauce of the lasagna.
was about the same the next day.

loving nebbiolo so much.
