Mar 6th, 2015Ripe but tart red and black fruits, cherry and blueberry, red currant, very slightly raisined on the nose. Maybe some floral and a chocolate or coffee note. Cedar and liquorice, earthy. Very light browning on the edge. Lasting tannins and good length finish.

May 27th, 2021Medium weight, nice lively acidity but not sharp, plenty of tannin even after being decanted for a couple hrs but the tannins have smoothed out. Nose of forest and roses, flavors of slightly sour raspberry(?). An enjoyable wine which, even with decanting, needs some more time - seems like it has a long life ahead of it.

Feb 26th, 2016If there is such a beast as an approachable young Barolo the 2010 Bussia Cru is it. Deep and powerful but enough flesh on the fruit to appreciate now. Cellar it and try to forget about it...try.
