So young, but still an amazing experience. This wine is proof that god exists! Tasting notes later, I’m still contemplating this wine’s brilliance.

The first vintage of these that I ever had. I had several shortly after release and then sent a few off to storage. This is the first I’ve had of those. I also own 2016 and 2019. Those are better vintages, so it will be interesting to see how they differ. 2009 was an approachable vintage and has aged well. Enjoyed over two nights. The first night it was a little hot and you could sense the burn in the nose and palate (more nose though). Second night it came together well and was quite enjoyable and fragrant. First night with Lebanese lamb, fattoush salad, and cheese rolls. Second night with ribeye, snap peas, and brown & wild rice.

Birthday wine. Really started to open up after about 30 minutes. Every glass got better and better. Minerals and tart cherry. Leather and nice tannins.

Dec 2023: singing after 2 hour decant, great balance, not many signs of aging, style resembles classic Barolo from neighbouring Cannubi, drink or hold

Really floral and balanced with soft tannins. Feminine for cannubi but beautiful all the same.
