Exceptional cab from Alexander valley. I really love Alexander valley and Cabernet aged to about 10 years. This was mediocre but still enjoyable. Many people mentioned the longevity of this wine, but I think they were mislead by its subtle blandness. It’s oddly memorable but nothing that sets fireworks off. Drink now, it won’t improve with age, at least for the 2009 vintage.

Deep garnet red with brick edges. Tons of tertiary notes on this wine, truffles, mushrooms, soft dark fruits, plums and damp leaves. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) that are very well integrated and medium bodied. Well rounded and mix of soft plums and blackberries on the palate. A bit of dark cocoa, damp earthy notes and a slightly vegetal finish. Quite a bit of acidity. Medium finish. Drink now.

Still a deep ruby to the rim. Youthful aromas of ripe black fruit, just shy of jammy, with well-integrated wood, and an attractively subtle herbal, leafy component. Gripping tannins

Deep crimson and dark fruit- blackberry and cassis- good tannins and acidity. 2009 was still drinking young and I think this wine can last for a while. Excellent structured wine
