A new wave, low alcohol Aussie Grenache. Very light-colored and fragrant, it’s got crushed cherry/strawberry fruit, nice sweet spice, a bit of warm sandstone stoniness. Lots of fruit up front in the palate, but transitions quickly to clingy savory/ mineral notes. At 12% alcohol, I was expecting more acid, but the acids are very relaxed. In fact the whole vibe of the wine is relaxed. Not complex or especially deep but very pleasurable.

Naked and transparent, but stands firm with full confidence.
Lovely perfume of red fresh berries, fresh herbs and a red floral and peppermint-lift and orange blossom, over a platform of undergrowth
, nutmeg and mother rock.
Enters the room somewhat shy on the palate, but soon builds character and confidence over the palate. A stoney minerality and good acidity brings nerve and tension over an expansive mid palate with a strong fatigue through a rather long finish. Makeup is not needed on true beauty,
And yea it could easily be mistaken for A Gredos Garnacha from Bernabeleva, Comando G, Land and the likes.
Paired with chicken breast with ndjuja smeared under the skin, roast potatoes and Jerusalem artichokes, and a chicken- tarragon velouté

Vague similarities to high altitude Grenache from Commando G et al in Spain, but way more elegant. Most people have never tasted this new wave Barossa style, but it’s for sure worth looking into. Small production, so difficult to find but well worth the hunt.

Very light reddish color, decent fruit, really quite simple for such a young wine, just OK.

That wine I'm always looking for. Punchy and sour. Super bright, berry flavors. Rich, tingly.
