Right in the sweet spot between volatile, diluted pizza Barbera and oaky, goopy, expensive slop that masquerades as “important”. Everything you want in balanced, medium-bodied Barbera.

Surprisingly dark and concentrated for a Barbera. Very nice with a pot roast in the absolute dead of finger lakes winter. A slight chill brought out the acidity. Nicely balanced.

Not bad, just not that good either. Still young.

Opened and decanted the evening of 23Dec. It was tasty then. Tasting young, but still very good. Left a glass worth in the decanter, covered for a day. The next day the wine opened beautifully. Very tasty. Great everyday wine. Good with pork, pastas, everything.
