Pfalz Dornfelder
@Byron C Mayes says it all in his review. This sweetish, rich #pfalz #dornfelder makes a compelling alternative to bottled Sangria poolside on a Houston August Saturday. If you chill it below the suggested 60°F, with the outside heat it warms quickly and offers wet slate aroma undertones to that cool dark fruit. This might make an interesting pairing with slightly spicy goat curry or Tandoori lamb chops. 🤔

Sweet-ish dark berry compote defines the full-bodied palate along with medium minus acidity and next to no tannins. Long, dark boysenberry finish. A true upgrade to the standard Dornfelder offerings out there. Full of flavor and weighty but still a nice easy drinking red. Perfect for that drinker who likes a touch of sweetness without going full on candy. Pair with hearty spicy dishes and hard cheeses. Drink now, well chilled.
