La Fourchaume Vieilles Vignes Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

This tastes off. Smells like old paint, and very astringent.

A couple of Dungeness crabs and this bottle were about as good as wine & good pairings get. Yes- crab juice did get all over our glasses and our decanter! After six years, this wine has blossomed into a sea shell filled, generous beauty. I am glad I backed the truck up on Tremblay's wines in 2008!

Backing up the truck on 2008 Chablis was one of my best ever decisions for the cellar. Richness, earth, electricity and a finish that won't stop!!!!

2010 Fourchaume drinking very well.

Grassy, underripe pineapple, and wet slate with well balanced acidity

Smoking

Dense palate and good weight nice finish good minerality lingering for thirty

Balanced and smooth with still sufficient acidity. Touch of rancio on long finish.

Delicious! Great on its own (as I had it).
