Saint-Chinian Syrah Mourvedre

Only $12 at Costco -- very good wine for the price!

Much better than expected-usually don't care much for French wine but this one rocks!

Bought at Costco for approx. $13. Really good.

Five days later, still drinkable. Great structure.

Black fruit, tobacco,and spice with a whiff of eucalyptus aromas. Med bodied, fresh w/supple texture and blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, and spiced vanilla flavors. Lingering finish $12!

Pairs magically with Sour Cherry Pie and Femnel-cured Salmon

Enjoyable.

Expected more based on its age. Tasted slightly better after decanting.

Nice balanced Syrah. Hints of oak and cherry. Had with lamb.

Decent, pretty mellow and smooth. I'd get it again as an everyday wine, but probably wouldn't bring it to a party as a gift offering.
