Classic Roussillon. Great balance. Killer value.

Tasting the ‘15 vintage for first time. Not a match to the ‘13 I’ve had, probably too early. On the plus side, this wine tastes great the next day. To be revisited.

One of Languedoc-Roussillon’s most visible names, Gérard Bertrand, crafts a juicy Côtes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel. Round and plush, it’s flavors sing of roasted plum, black sesame, chaparral, and a distinctive sweet umami soy sauce character on the finish. A blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan - this is the quintessential Tuesday night BBQ wine.

Nice Grenache blend. Wine Spectator gave this wine 91 points. I concur. Very nice for Super Bowl pre game warm up.

Takes a while to open up, fine after that, slightly dry and a quick finish.

Showing a bit hot, ripe red berries, minerals and dried herbs. Wild purple flowers once the alc. blows off. Decant.

I either had a bad bottle or this wine is too young or...something! Nice rock and spice in the mid palate that is ruined by this pummeling tangy quality in the finish. Lingers in all the wrong ways.

Much more food friendly than I expected with the Syrah the prominent varietal. Pairing with chicken stir fry and enjoying.
