Gérard Bertrand
Clos d'Ora Red Blend
Minervois, Languedoc, Languedoc Roussillon, France
Deep purple in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose and full bodied, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and complex.
Showing blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, light cola, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and light earth.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a gorgeous 8 year old Rhone blend from Languedoc-Roussillon in France. Elegant and robust. Rich and extracted.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. Smooth and nicely balanced.
Robert Parker 93 points.
Drinking beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Spicy, interesting and entertaining.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. Paired wonderfully with my grilled Lamb chops.
A blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Carignan. A small production of less than 12,000 bottles. Biodynamic.
15.5% alcohol by volume.
94 points.
$250.

Gobs of Black currant with herbal notes, green olive brininess, roasted peanuts on the nose. Drank violet hue rimmed with brick. Again with a boat load of cassis and spice. Long finish. I love it
