We usually enjoy Argentinian malbecs, so we wanted to try a French version. Some earthiness on the nose, and every bit the 14.5% alcohol content. Lusty and fruity, with a hint of a chocolate liquor...a pure chocolate, not Kahlua, and also the familiar and expected cigar box. Grippy tannins and elegant. Does this go with tonight's pizza? Of course it does. What doesn't? Lol

Needs a lot of airing. But once aired, it's smooth and full bodied

Rich, intense and subtle with a splendid blend of fruits and spices. The perfect complement to a grilled cheeseburger that served as dinner during tonight’s power outage.

Bold flavors with hint of cherry. Low on tannins, great with bread, pasta, heavy cheeses
