So, how are the big '09s Beaujolais five years in? If this is any indication, totally fine, if not graceful and pretty. Pure fruit core with very broad shoulders structurally. Nothing high-toned, and none of the brett or VA I often find in this producer. Was kind of bummed that I didn't order something younger and fresher until I remembered what and insane wine this is for the money and who cares. Great with veal and Morrels. 5-10 years ahead at least.

Get your nose in here within the first 2 minutes for intense purple flowers and a woody, forest earthiness. (Not the composting leaves-kind, but the snapping branches and crushed foliage-kind.) A half-decade in, it's still youthful and bursting with tart berries. Awesome, and a bargain!
