Trying not to be partial because I love the grape, Descombes is approaching his old mentor in Lapierre here, but a little more focus on Brouilly’s vinous and herbal qualities. Fruit still is fresh.

Delicious. Tangy cherry and cranberry, a bit of funk, slightest touch more structure and it would have been perfect

Barnyard on the nose. Palate reveals acid and berry sour in tandem with minimally present tannin.

Another Bojo I could drink all day. Raspberry, sour cherry, and cranberry (all the red fruits, really). This is so tangy and crushable, though it's got enough structure to remind you it's not just fruit juice. This went down far too easy

Some of the purest, most alive fruit I've ever tasted in a wine of any kind. Yet the texture is full and luscious without being simple juicy fruit - the freshness is in its flesh and not just the acidity. When birds eat perfectly ripened grapes right off the vine they're probably experiencing something like this.

Light and earthy. Stewed red fruit and minerality for days. Old school bojo in quaffer format. Only problem here is that the bottle was too small. They should consider only selling this in jerobaum and larger.

Nose isn't super expressive, but does show some mineral and crunchy red fruits. The mid was juicy and lush. Finish is quite long, followed by pronounced lemon acid tartness. Give it some time and this wine will sing.

That went down all too easy between 2 and some food. Love Beaujolais for that.

I'm just trying to work my way through these crazy Cru's, and what a pleasure! These wines, with such a light hand in SO2, have a tiny touch of V.A. This, combined with the method of extraction and the grape variety itself, create tremendous flavor to price ratio. This particular one shows more of the varietal character in that it's spicy and peppery and game, but alas there's a lot of carbonic, juiced up fruit too. Nice and fun!
