This wine is a study in balance and concentration. Nose has perfectly ripe cherry, an intense moist earthiness, river stones, graham cracker spice. Mouthfilling and densely-flavored, it nevertheless doesn’t seem heavy (thought the bottle is, and needlessly so). It’s delicious now, but it also built to age, with lots of very fine-grained tannin and good acidity. Kinda reminds me of a very good Pommard.
