I forgot to post this one from a couple weeks back. New to me, but I think this is from one of the Sebastianis. The two most obvious notes I can recall about this wine were the following: it was varietally correct and tasted like it was from Knights Valley, which I always associate plush, lush, velvety fruit. It wasn’t soul stirring but this would undoubtedly be a huge crowd pleaser. File this one away as an option that most people would probably get into; and that’s meant to be a compliment.

Sipping Fine Wine

A blend of 84% Cab Sauv, 14% Malbec & 2% Petit Verdot, aged for 18 months in French oak, deep Ruby with aromas of red/black fruits with sweet notes and some spice. On the palate plum and blackberry flavors, vanilla spice, cacao and black pepper. Fine grainy tannins, good balance with acidity, medium+ finish ending with oak tones, a bit tight, decant helps.

At home. Opened this as it was a gift from Vincent for my first big launch. Great bottle. Funky flavor and fun.

This Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has spice-driven aromas of cloves, anice and fennel, complemented by notes of dark cherry. The palate holds a fine tannic quality with hints of spice and intense ripe fruit flavors. Had a wonderful time sharing with friends.

2019. Bottle 35,419. Holiday dinner with friends. Our hostess had opened this nice fruit forward medium bodied Cabernet and it went well with some venison salami.
