There is a great charm in this Marsannay (see also my previous note on the 2006). Plus a boost of aromatic intensity, due to a great Burgundy vintage. Really showing well at the moment.

A charmeur. Soft concentration, pleasant aromatic intensity. Beautiful texture. At the moment there are no 'cru' classified vineyards in this appellation, but they are working on it. No doubt about 'Les Champs Perdrix' being one of the elite sites. Geantet-Pansiot has the noble Pinot Fin (PN with smaller berries and a thicker skin) planted here, which adds to the aromatic complexity of the wine. It's been a while since I last had partridge for dinner.

One of the most interesting AOC's in Burgundy, delicate wine, expressive smell, minerals, shy red fruit, great balance

Dark and turbid. Very cherry nose. Lots of cherry in the glass but this wine is getting tired already???? For some reason this wine has a tinge of acidic acid? The cork came out to easy. I think this bottle is flawed. But alas most will think it is OK as it is really on the edge.

Kind of on the lighter side for a 2009. Light in color. Quite elegant. Dirt. Morello cherry notes. A beautiful wine and a great value. This bottle was a singleton.
