G.D. Vajra
Barbera d'Alba

Still deep purple. Nose is a bit closed. Little gassy on palate entry. With decant shows generous, fleshy textured dark berry atoms and flavors. More simple that previous bottles.

Dense purple color. Expressive nose w black fruits, plums and a hint of baking spice. Impeccable balance in the mouth. Delicious. Better day one than day 2-3...

Nuanced, elegant, and soulful. Barbera like this always reminds me of how awesome this wine can be. Black cherry, black raspberry, graphite, potpourri, violets, hay and spice (pretty much what the bottle says). Structurally balanced but shows lots of finesse.

Big for a barbera. Underripe dark fruit, smoky honey whiskey on the finish.
