January Wednesday Wine Committees are always a great as the red wines are required to be 11yrs old, making all of the reds 2008 vintage. 1 sparkler, 2 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine were served today, all blind.
Hard not to guess Cali Pinot here. Still retaining a good bit of sweet red fruit. A little musty at first but showed good raspberry and cedar notes. Acidity has mellowed out. Drink up.

Chewy, raspberry jam laden fruit and oaked vanilla. Not complex but doesn’t need to be. It’s Patterson instead of Proust.
