Bam! This is Washington state Syrah at its finest. Big, cheeky montage of pepper, tobacco, and jammy blackberry notes. Tannins that go on and on and a heavy mouth feel. Truly fantastic wine!

Nose reveals, perfumed floral & spiced fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, black plum and hues of blue fruits. Black licorice, vanilla, pepper, both chocolates and violet & fresh dark florals. The body is M-M+ with M+ tannins. The fruits are ruby; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, raspberries, black plum and hues of blue fruits. Black licorice, pepper, loamy soils, dry crushed rocks and fresh violets. The acidity is nicely rounded. The finish balances with 1/3 of each; fruit, earth and chocolate. Photos of; the view of the winery as you drive up, barrel tasting (15 & 16 fruit is very good) with our host Kai, a shot of their small production area and their tasting bar.

Wow. Tasting very good. Smooth with a pepper finish still. Could still hold this for a little longer.

Holy cow! It is true the oak on this is intense (after 2+ years in the barrel, go figure), but Jesus... This is mind blowingly good Syrah. Made by people that think tobacco is a seasoning and plums are for staining the inside of barrels (and your mouth). F'ing great wine!

Funky! Unlike any Syrah ever had. Almost sour dough bread on the nose with a ton of oak through the finnish

Another day, another wine… from Garrison Creek. Much better experience this time with this rich, opulent Syrah! Dark black, spiced fruit beautifully ingrained with polished, lingering tannins that settle in a grippy, intense finish.

Brian has decided to end the year strong with the last couple of selections. Another one of my favorites. Really enjoying it, but sad to see it go. Smooth without decanting. Paired well with pork

One of these good news bad news wines. Good news? This was an awesome wine!!! Strong coarse but extremely well integrated tannins in a vibrant Syrah with cool dark red flavors upfront evolving in complex flavors of dark dry fig with earthy, forest floor, cigar box under notes. Bad news? I had to fight with Tammy over the last drop 😅. This is going to be a winery to keep an eye on in Walla Walla. Giving the big guys a run for the money. Loved it.
