Solid cab. Not the best GARGIULO I’ve ever had but I wouldn’t kick it out if bed for eating crackers. The Company with whom we enjoyed it made it a 10! Nothing like killing a 3L with badass friends 👍🤜🙌👏👏👏

Per recommendations from shipment - to be drank from 2017 onward. I was curious though. Decanted for many many hours. By 6 hours in - it was fantastic. Well worth the wait. Dark berries, chocolate and a tobacco almost earthy finish. Will be incredible in years to come.

Nice oakville exemplar with rich dark fruit and spices. Balanced acids make this a strong complement for food.

Big red cherry, firm tannins right out of the bottle. Will mellow over an hour in. Fruit tilted structure but not too ripe. Drinking well now.

Always so good, heavy cherry and blackberry, smooth and velvety tannins, very easy to drink.

And just like that, my Gargiulo inventory has been reduced about 33%. This wine is in a good spot, although not quite as black fruit dominant as the one I opened up about 18 months ago but more reminiscent of the one I opened up 3 months ago. This is the end of the road for my 2010 Gargiulo MRR Cabs. This one was 1/2 sweet black cherry cough drop, 1/2 blackberry. Herbal, dried wildflowers, rose petals, dried nuts, and finished with softened yet still present oak tannin. Out with a bang!

Consumed 12/2018. The longer I age this, the more I realize I need to just drink it before it all ruins. 851 cases were produced and I got one case. This is a small family winery with two celebrated Oakville, Napa Valley Vineyards. It is 14.8% alcohol by volume. I’m not sure that the picture is depicting the correct product. I am trying to rate the Cabernet sauvignon.
